Synopsis
Dr. William McGhan he has been instrumental in advancing research and graduate training in health policy and pharmaceutical economics. He has authored several books and book chapters as well as over 200 journal articles. He is a past President of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science and has served on the board of directors of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. He is an elected Fellow of the AAPS in recognition for his distinguished scientific contributions and leadership. He was the founding President of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). Memberships include ISPOR, AAPS, ASHP, AACP, and APhA. He serves as speaker and consultant for numerous companies and organizations around the world. His research focuses on clinical decision analysis, outcomes research and patient care economics.
